Lessons for Internet Marketers New to The Process...

Over and over I witness people trying to break into the internet market with a web site, failing miserably because they didn’t have the fundamental requirements figured out and they attempted to go beyond their personal web site building skills to build their site.

People often implement the first hot technology that comes their way...that guaranteed success of course, but not realizing that the technology they were using didn’t fit into their overall internet marketing plan at the right time.

There are some fundamental components required to build a successful website:

1) Strong web copy. ie. The writing on the website that gives visitors information and leads them to signup for a free newsletter or to buy your product. Without strong web copy all those visitors that visit your site will just visit for a few seconds and leave. So any effort to attract traffic is a waste of time and money. Get your web copy right first and prove this through testing -- I’ll show you how.

2) Precise keyword identification. Identify your largest target audience down to the keyword level, so you know precisely who you will attract to come to your site. No use setting up a website for a product you think will have lots of demand. Keyword research will give you precise data on how many people are looking for your product

Choose another product if there is not a large enough group of people looking for your product. Otherwise you could spend months building a website for a product that has no demand; Or not enough demand to generate a significant income and pay your rent and buy your groceries.
